Hailo Update: Looking for more jobs?

Looking for more jobs?

We’re currently experiencing record highs with the coverage of Hailo work. It’ll be no surprise we also have the highest ever amount of drivers using Hailo right now.

The City and heart of the West End is heavily saturated with Hailo drivers at peak times. There’s plenty of jobs to be had slightly outside the heart of central London.

If you’re looking to gain Priority Driver status or simply want more Hailo jobs, give the below areas a try:

  • SW3
  • SW6
  • SW7
  • SW10
  • W8
  • W11
  • N1
  • NW1
  • NW3

Many of our drivers gain Priority Driver status in just these areas alone...

Under Reporting on Hailo Cash Jobs

The Hailo for Business team have been working hard setting up new high quality accounts, on many occasions replacing a minicab service.

On the back of this success we have unfortunately noted that some drivers are under reporting cash fares in the app.

Hotels, restaurants and other cash paying customers have contacted us complaining they’re receiving receipts for their journeys that do not match the amount paid in cash to the driver.

We kindly ask all drivers to enter the correct fare on all cash jobs you complete...

By the time we are all tucking into our fish supper on Friday evening, we will know whether the future of the UK remains in the European Union or not. The office here in Somerset House is buzzing with referendum chat. If you think you’re confused by all of the arguments for and against, you should see the baffled stares of some of our American colleagues and those from further afield!..

Back to Black – April 2016

Running the Town

The London Marathon was held on Sunday and we want to wish a big congratulations to the Hailo drivers who took part; Martin Coleman, Rob Bryant, Sam Meeks, Lucy Giu, Ray Howard and Darren Wayland. Thanks to all who donated to Darren’s chosen charity helping him to raise an amazing £3,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! An amazing effort from all who ran and raised money for important causes.

Of the drivers we asked about the Marathon over a third said that they have either ran the London Marathon before or would like to do it in the future...

It’s All About You

Now things are starting to get back to normal post-Easter, I want to use this month’s blog to talk about cabbies, the trade and London’s future.

With the Mayoral Elections around the corner and campaigns like ‘Stay Fare Mayor’, it’s clear that there’s a lot of noise surrounding transport regulation and policy in London.

Our focus at Hailo has always been to promote the benefit of black cabs; speed, safety, security, accessibility, reducing congestions and emissions. Black cabs are an essential part of London transport and their importance and necessity for consumers is sometimes forgotten...
